Getting started.

Run your first Citevera audit, read the report, and understand the scores: three readiness axes, the 5-stage AI decision funnel, top moves, and the priority plan.

1. Run an audit

Go to scan.citevera.com, enter a URL, and wait 30-90 seconds. No signup for the first look. The scanner fetches your robots.txt, sitemap, llms.txt, homepage, and up to 9 more internal pages - the full sequence is documented in how it works, and the scanner identifies itself per the bot policy.

2. Read the report

The headline AI visibility score is a weighted rollup of the 5-stage AI decision funnel (detection, understanding, trust, coverage, conversion) - the exact math is on the scoring page. It is NOT an average of the three readiness axes (AEO, GEO, Crawlability), which measure setup rather than outcomes - a site can have decent readiness and still score low on visibility. Below the scores: the Top 3 moves ranked by leverage, the findings grouped by category, and on full reports a prioritized action plan.

3. Free vs paid

The free tier is one audited site, free forever: the full audit with scores and prioritized findings, re-audited monthly on a schedule. Fix recommendations in full detail, PDF export, more sites and on-demand audits, and citation monitoring are on the paid plans - see pricing and the billing doc.

4. Fix, then rescan

Every finding that can ship an artifact does - llms.txt bodies, JSON-LD blocks, robots.txt rules. Apply them (see applying fixes), then rescan to confirm the score moved. Scores only mean something across audits of the same kind.
