What we collect

For free-tier scans we collect: the URL you submit, the IP that submitted it, and optionally an email when you unlock the full report. For paid accounts we additionally collect a sign-in identity (your email, via magic link or Google sign-in - sessions live in our own database), billing records held by Freemius as our merchant of record (Stripe for subscriptions started before August 2026), and a history of your scans. If you use citation monitoring, we also store the prompts you track and each engine's responses.

Sub-processors

Freemius, Inc. (checkout, licensing and payment processing as our merchant of record - your purchase is technically made from Freemius, who receive your name, email and payment details), Stripe, Inc. (payments for subscriptions started before August 2026 only), Cloudflare, Inc. (object storage for generated reports and uploaded branding assets), Resend, Inc. (transactional email), and our AI providers: OpenRouter, Inc. (API gateway for audit generation and citation extraction) together with OpenAI, Anthropic and Google, whose engines we query. Citation monitoring works by sending your tracked prompts to those engines - that measurement is the product. Audit scans do not include PII from the target site in the AI prompt - only public page content we fetched. Everything else (the application, database and queues) runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your billing page. Email requests to hello@citevera.com are honoured within 7 days.
